Finding a romper is like striking gold!
My go to alteration is to hem the legs and chop off the sleeves.
There is legitimately no way you can go wrong.
Paired it with a thrifted bronze croc print clutch and my favorite Anne Klein watch and gold bracelet.
A tip of my hat to the Spring/Summer '14 Safari trend. How did you pair your neutrals and animal prints?

I found this silk caftan YEARS ago and just let it hang in my closet. I've always had plans to turn it into a kimono, but when I lucked up on FLOOR SEATS (section A! mind you) to the On The Run tour I had to snip it into shape for the perfect concert fit.
Paired my reseam kimono with my high-waisted vintage Levi cut offs, reseamed sweater crop top, and Steve Madden wooden sandals (the most comfy pair in my closet).
My bestie and I taking selfies as the crowd cleared out. Thank you my love for the ticket!!
Floor seat wrist bands and hands.

Removing the sequins was the quickest part of the process. When de-glimmering your vintage find the string that holds it all together and pull. Unravels like butta!
I cut this up the middle after drawing a straight line with chalk. I still stick to measurements before I cut anything to CUT down on mistakes (see what I did there).
Lastly, snipped off this detail of the original garment and created a new seam.
(Sorry for the lack of J+B photos...there are a slew on IG so I'm sure your tired of them)

Rompers have risen to the top of my list for favorite finds through my vintage excursions.
Normally, the only thing holding them back from joining 2013 is the length of the sleeves and the doughty length of the shorts.
I love to add cuffs to pretty much every romper I reseam. It adds a little detail to them and a more professional finish if I get a perfectly straight line.
This vintage '96 Olympics Games charm bracelet is why I live to thrift. Its incredibly well made and was only two bucks! I'm in love with the design and history etched into each charm.
Strolling around Buckhead on Sunday shopping for bridesmaid dresses. For this fit I only cuffed the shorts and removed the sleeves. Everything else fit perfectly.
FULL FIT: reseamed romper and Nine West American Vintage boots.
Thanks to my BFF for snapping some pics before we ventured in to the store.
Seamingly yours,
